Overview

This 3-day course is intended for engineers, operations managers & supervisors, who need to understand how to implement and maintain an IATF 16949:2016 Automotive quality management system, and the statistical tools and techniques to use that can assist in providing reliable, safe, customer-pleasing products/processes; and improve the quality and reliability of design.

This training is more effective when conducted in-house where practicals would be relevant to the workplace.

There is no prior knowledge required for this course.

Who should attend?

Operations Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and any person who is involved in identifying risks and improvements related to production and engineering, who is required to understand the concepts of the IATF 16949 standard and the tools required and be able to use the information in the organisation to work smarter and always seeking to continually improve work methods.

Programme Content

The learner will be able to:

Gain knowledge on implementing and maintaining IATF 16949:2016 Automotive quality management systems.

Understand the concepts of IATF 16949:2016 standards and be able to use the information in the workplace.

Evaluate the requirements obtained from the customer or other participants in the design process to ensurethat those requirements do not introduce potential failures.

Identify design characteristics that contribute to failures and design them out of the system or at least minimize the resulting effects.

Identify methods and procedures to develop and test the product/process to ensure that the failures have been successfully eliminated.

Track and manage potential risks in the design. Tracking the risks contributes to the development of organizational knowledge and the success of future products.

Ensure that any failures that could occur will not injure or seriously impact the customer of the product/process.
